"The most comprehensive emergency preparedness program,
specifically addressing the needs of schools, available on the market."
Application Features
Key features of HZ Online include:
Plan Accessibility HZ Online keeps plans organized and available. All school district personnel and first responders can access the district emergency plan according to a tiered security model. This ensures the entire emergency team has access to their plans and resources 24-7.
Database driven Information Management normalized storage of emergency plan data allows school plans to be more accurate and up-to-date, e.g. phone numbers stored in one place and then used in many reports. Most site-specific and district-specific emergency plan components are available through already defined emergency reports. Site and District unique items may also be uploaded to HZ Online.
Map Tool The easy to use Map Tool enables users to track hundreds of point of interests (e.g. utility shut-offs), store building photographs, and create custom emergency maps (e.g. evacuation routes). The tool enables schools to create sophisticated emergency maps, without having to be trained in a specialized CAD tool. By documenting key points of interest along with facility photographs, staff and first responders are given invaluable information to assist in their planning and response efforts.
Document Management the Hour-Zero program is composed of ready to go best practices, templates, and forms. By working off established best practices for plan components such as incident protocols, school based ICS positions descriptions, and communication templates, your school district will not waste valuable resources on research and documentation. Instead you can focus your effort on plan implementation.
Online Training / Learning Management all school personnel are provided access to a library of online training modules and resources, including emergency protocol and Incident Command System (ICS) training. The Hour-Zero training program also includes training manuals, ready to go safety presentations with facilitator speaker notes, and table top exercises.
Monitoring Tools annual checklists and compliance reporting provide plan administrators a management framework to keep plans current.
